There's a new comedy on Apple TV+ which is “hilariously calamitous” set in the world of Hollywood filmmaking, and The Studio will keep you laughing in ways you wouldn't expect. The original new show also boasts a star-studded regular cast along with impressive guest cameos from huge names including Charlize Theron and Martin Scorsese.
The Studio stars Seth Rogan in the lead role and is receiving rave reviews from critics and viewers alike. The satire captures the real-world chaos and contradictions of the world of show business while still having mass appeal and, crucially, is oh so funny.

What is The Studio about?
The quick-witted new show follows Matt Remick (played by Seth Rogan) as the new head of movie studios, Continental Studios. Along with his stressed out team, he's on a mission to make great films in an increasingly difficult media landscape. Unfortunately, there seem to be unexpected obstacles at just about every level and around almost every corner.
"Matt and his core team of infighting executives battle their own insecurities as they wrangle narcissistic artists and craven corporate overlords in the ever-elusive pursuit of making great films," reads the synopsis.
Of course, things don't go to plan, with a cascade of chaos ensuing as small mistakes spiral out of control. The darkly comic plot will keep viewers laughing just as everything goes farcically wrong for the desperate characters.
"With their power suits masking their neverending sense of panic, every party, set visit, casting decision, marketing meeting, and award show presents them with an opportunity for glittering success or career-ending catastrophe," the synopsis continues. "As someone who eats, sleeps, and breathes movies, it's the job Matt's been pursuing his whole life, and it may very well destroy him."
Popping up throughout the series are big name stars, often playing themselves, such as Steve Buscemi and Olivia Wilde.
