Little Disasters is the emotional new psychological thriller starring Diane Kruger as a "mother pushed to the brink” which will strike a chord with viewers everywhere. Family and friendships are pushed way beyond breaking point in the dramatic new series coming to Paramount+, which will have you questioning everything.

What is Little Disasters about?
The new thriller explores themes of motherhood and friendship, centring on mum Jess and three of her friends: Liz, a doctor, Shelley, a corporate lawyer and Mel who's described as a "free spirit".
One day, Jess takes her baby daughter to the hospital for a head injury. Her friend Liz is the A&E doctor on shift but, when Jess can't explain how her daughter became injured, Liz is faced with an excruciating decision about whether to call social services. This one moment sets a chain of events in motion, threatening to destroy all those it touches.
“This series will offer a relatable story which examines the crippling judgement levied upon mothers by society,” said Diane Kruger. “The story so wonderfully explores the fragility of reputation, with the rapid unravelling of Jess’ seemingly perfect life."

Jo Joyner, who plays doctor Liz, said her character is torn between her “duty as a doctor and loyalty to her friend" and that she's excited to explore "explore the impact of Liz’s decision.”
The show is based on a novel by Sarah Vaughan, who also wrote the book which Netflix's Anatomy of a Scandal, starring Sienna Miller, is based on. Sarah is an executive producer on the series, which has been adapted by Ruth Fowler and Amanda Duke for the screen.
