Whether you've already binged all four episodes of Netflix's brilliant but harrowing crime drama, Adolescence, or you're yet to experience how staggeringly good it is, there's one question you're likely to have by the end of it - and it's not whether Jamie killed Katie. Rather, how can I see more of Stephen Graham's genius acting on screen? Fortunately, the actor already has another unmissable role lined up - as none other than the father of a musical icon.

Graham is set to blow us all away once again in Deliver Me from Nowhere, the Bruce Springsteen biopic that will see The Bear actor Jeremy Allen White play the legendary singer himself and Graham play his father Douglas Springsteen. Perhaps unsurprisingly, we're not the only ones who approve of the casting, with Bruce Springsteen, who's been involved in the film, having thanked Graham and the team behind it.

"He was just like, 'Thank you so much for being here.' I mean, he’s an icon. He's an absolute icon," Graham told British GQ. "And such a wonderful man. What really touched me is his humility, and the way he makes time for everybody."

The upcoming biopic stars Jeremy Allen White as The Boss, Bruce Springsteen, and follows a pivotal moment in his life, as he embarks on the journey of creating his 1982 album, Nebraska, while also dealing with personal demons along the way. Springsteen recorded the album on a four-track cassette in his bedroom in New Jersey and it now rivals Joni Mitchell’s Blue as one of the most honest and emotional albums in history.

Based Warren Zane’s book, Deliver Me from Nowhere: The Making of Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska, Springsteen has been involved in the film, as has his manager Jon Landau, which can only be a good sign.

Who is Stephen Graham playing in Deliver Me from Nowhere?

Graham will play Springsteen's father, Douglas, with whom he had a complicated relationship. The singer has previously revealed how his father’s mental health problems saw him distance himself from his son. "He loved me, but couldn’t stand me," Springsteen wrote of this father in his memoir, Born to Run.

The birth of his son, Evan, however, proved to be a sort of turning point in their relationship. "He said, ‘I wasn’t so good to you,'" shares Springsteen in the memoir. "I said, ‘You did the best you could.' It changed our relationship immediately. It was a lovely gift. A lovely epilogue."

Graham has shared a poignant gesture of Springsteen’s that touched him during filming. "I (shot) my final scene that I do, and I think it’s almost the final scene within the film, then I needed to rush to my plane. And he sent me a text, just saying 'thank you' for the performance," Graham told British GQ.

"Springsteen thanked me for my performance"

"It's better than any award I could ever contemplate, but he said (that) what I did within that scene, he saw his father again, which is just beautiful. And to work with Jeremy Allen White…".
