What is Catch You Later about?

The four-part series tells the story of Huw Miller (Jason Watkins), a police detective who’s haunted by the one case he failed to solve – a stalker who toyed with his victims before eventually killing them.

Huw is attempting to settle into retirement, but he can't get the case off his mind and when new neighbour, Patrick Harbottle (Robson Green, who we've seen on our screens recently in ITV's Grantchester) moves in and utters the phrase “catch you later” – the sign off the stalker used to taunt Huw during the investigation – Huw believes he’s finally got his man. But has he?

Cue a high stakes game of psychological chess between the two neighbours. Unable to bear the guilt of the stalker taking another victim right under his nose, Huw risks everything to get to the truth. But does he even have his sights on the right man - or is his obsession pushing him to the brink?

Robson Green has called it “gripping ride”, saying he “can't wait to dive into the cat-and-mouse dynamics that [writer] Tom Grieves has crafted. It's going to be an unforgettable journey!”

He spoke about the role further in an interview with Variety, explaining: “Patrick is over-friendly, and Huw feels everything is not quite what it seems. Very quickly you realise there is a game being played, but is Patrick a stalker and is Huw on the right track or spiralling out of control psychologically?

“The amazing thing that plays out in this series is the capitulation of Huw, played beautifully by Jason, and whether Patrick is just a friendly guy concerned about his welfare, or if he is psychologically torturing him. The audience will wonder what his motives are.”
