From Linda’s brilliantly awful acting to the unexpected twists that keep on coming, it’s been quite the series of The Traitors – and it’s not over yet. The countdown to the series three finale is officially on and it’s got us thinking, who will emerge victorious and who will go home empty-handed?
With just a few episodes left to go, anything could happen, but there’s one popular favourite among the GH team. Could it be fake nail technician Leanne, who’s fooled her fellow contestants from the very start? Or will it be friends-with-everyone diplomat Alexander? Read on to find out who the team are predicting it to be…
Alison Lynch, Head of Content, GHI
“I’m backing Minah to see it through to the end and take the money. I think (hope!) someone will let her know that Charlotte's been dropping her name in chats, so she realises she can’t trust her, and then she takes her down at the roundtable (does she work out the Welsh accent isn’t real and bring it up?!). It would be the Traitor vs. Traitor showdown we’ve all been waiting for, and I think Minah deserves it. She’s basically masterminded this whole series – she carried Linda for weeks!”
Liz Moseley, Managing Director, GH & GHI
"Charlotte - because Minah is going be rumbled just before the end. And nobody yet suspects there’s been a recruitment."
Sophie Fenton, Junior Writer
"The dishy diplomat, Alexander, because who doesn’t love a comeback? Everyone will be guessing Charlotte for her lying prowess and that’s a fair point, she’s played well, but I want to spare a thought for the underdog! He wasn’t afraid to stand up for himself and if there’s ever a time diplomatic skills would come in handy, it’s got to be the final – surely!"
Priyankaa Joshi, Senior Health & Wellness Writer
"I (very sadly) think Charlotte, because everyone seems convinced she’s a faithful and she’s already planted seeds of doubt about Minah. I’m a bit gutted because I’ve been rooting for Minah the whole series – she’s played an absolutely incredible game as a traitor and it seems very unfair if Charlotte benefits from all her hard work, without having done much, and gets all the money. For the first time, I don’t want to the Faithfuls to win – they’ve played a rubbish game and they’re not as likeable as previous years."
Saska Graville, Product Director
"My heart says Minah, because I love her but my head suspects that Charlotte might out-game her."
Nathalie Whittle, Deputy Editor
"Right now, it’s got to be Charlotte. I still don’t get the Welsh accent thing, but at least she’s proved herself to be a good Traitor. Could there be another big twist coming that destroys her chances altogether though? I think so!"
Kay Ribeiro, Contributing Editor
"Since he was gunning for Linda from the start – and proved to be right – I think Jake could be in with a good shot. Ultimately, though, for me, Claudia (and her wardrobe) is the real winner this series."
Bethan Rose Jenkins, Features Editor
"Charlotte will win it as right from the beginning she’s shown she’s playing a tactical game – even if her pretend Welsh heritage didn’t get her very far! My hunch is she’ll have a few more tricks up her sleeve and won’t be afraid to cross people if she has to."
And GH's winner is...
Charlotte, if our predictions are anything to go by. But let’s face it, it’s all still to play for…
Tune in to The Traitors finale on Friday 24th January at 8.30pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
