Ever since The Traitors first arrived on our screens in 2022, we’ve been totally obsessed. Hosted by the inimitable Claudia Winkleman – showcasing an exceptional wardrobe of elevated winter woollies and show-stopping coats and capes, of course.
So far there has been plenty of drama and deceit, with some contestants being better at concealing their true motives than others. Unfortunately for Linda, it was her time to leave the castle and, speaking on The Traitors: Uncloaked, she reflected on her performance on the show.
"It's a bit strange because I thought I came over really stupid. And do you know what, when I originally applied for the show, I applied because I thought I'm a really good liar, I've got away with things in my life, really good things," she said. "But when you get there, I metamorphasised into something else round the roundtable. I was like 'Oh I'm not going to say anything. Don't say anything'."
Linda also admitted that Jake Brown's suspicions of her in episode one affected her game plan, saying, "It made me worry about saying anything after that because everything I said was twisted."
As we count down to the end of the current series, here are all your questions answered…
Where is The Traitors filmed?
The 19th century Ardross Castle – 30 miles north of Inverness – provides the perfect backdrop for all the sleuthing and skulduggery. Set in approximately 100 acres of gardens and parkland near the Easter Ross town of Alness, it boasts elaborate architecture, including turrets and fortress-like battlements.
Who won The Traitors series 2?
In the most tense and shocking finale ever, 22-year-old traitor Harry Clark was crowned the winner during an extraordinary final roundtable gathering that led to the ultimate betrayal. Faithful Jaz Singh – who had cottoned on early to Harry’s deception and incredible game-playing but kept quiet for fear of being banished – finally decided to make his suspicions known. In a bold move, Jaz voted against ending the game and sharing the cash prize between the three of them, instead voting for one final banishment to take place.
However, faithful Mollie – blinded by her friendship with baby-face backstabber Harry – didn’t realise that Jaz wouldn’t suggest this if he really was a traitor and voted him out! And, in the most agonising twist of all, viewers saw that Mollie had originally written Harry’s name on her chalkboard before replacing it at the last minute with Jaz’s, allowing the gleeful former British Army engineer to walk away with a staggering £95,150.
When can I watch The Traitors?
The Traitors started on BBC1 on New Year’s Day at 8pm and airs every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday throughout January until 24.
How does The Traitors work?
The BBC reality show invites 22 strangers to a beautiful castle in the Scottish Highlands to take part in the ultimate game of trust, backstabbing and detection in a bid to win up to £120k.
Once you get the hang of it, the premise of the game is relatively simple. Upon arrival, Claudia secretly appoints three contestants to be traitors, whose mission is to avoid detection and tactically eliminate the others – known as faithfuls – so that only the traitors remained standing and sharing in the cash prize. Once you add eventful group challenges to boost the cash pot, drama-filled roundtable sessions to vote people out and covert traitor get-togethers in the turret to ‘murder’ faithfuls at night, you have a thoroughly entertaining, hugely addictive show that offered a fascinating insight into human psychology. We're hooked!
