Following the storming success of Fool Me Once, the Netflix series adaptation of Harlan Coben's novel earlier this year, another adaptation is officially in the works.
The latest Harlan Coben story to get the Netflix treatment is the New York Times bestselling Missing You, and it's due for release on 1 January 2025. With a snappy five episodes in the series, it's the perfect New Years' Day binge-watch (hangover or not).

What happens in Missing You?
"Eleven years ago, Detective Kat Donovan’s fiancé, Josh — the love of her life — disappeared, and she hasn’t heard from him since," reads the Netflix synopsis. "Now, swiping profiles on a dating app, she sees his face, and her world explodes all over again. Josh’s reappearance forces her to dive back into the mystery surrounding her father’s murder and uncover long-buried secrets from her past."
Well, we're already hooked just from reading that.
As has been the case with Netflix's previous Harlan Coben adaptations, despite the book being set in the US, the series will be set in the UK.
Who is in Missing You?
Playing Kat Donovan is exciting rising talent Rosalind Eleazar, who you'll recognise from Apple TV+'s Slow Horses.
Alongside Rosalind is an exceptional roster of British actors, including Top Boy's Ashley Walters as her ex-fiancé Josh Buchanan, comedy legend Sir Lenny Henry as Clint Donovan, Kat's father, GH cover star Lisa Faulkner as Dana Fells, and of course, would it be a Harlan Coben adaptation without Richard Armitage? The actor has appeared in many of the TV adaptations of the authors' books, and this time he'll take on the role of Ellis Stagger.
James Nesbitt (who appeared in previous Coben adaptation Stay Close) will play Calligan and Matt Willis (co-host of Love is Blind UK with his wife Emma Willis) takes the role of Darryl.
Also in the cast is Inside No9's Steve Pemberton as Titus, EastEnders' Jessica Plummer as Stacey Embalo, Marc Warren as Monte Leburne, Sex Education's Samantha Spiro as Nurse Sally Steiner and Mary Malone as Aqua.
