David Beckham and The King have a surprising interest in common, and David revealed on Sunday (2 June) that the pair recently exchanged advice around the hobby.
"We shared beekeeping tips!" David revealed in a shared Instagram post with The King's Trust. In the post, David announced that he was now an ambassador for the organisation and included a series of photos, including one with The King as the pair laughed side by side.
While beekeeping is perhaps an unexpected hobby for an A-list celebrity, those who watched the recent Netflix special about David will know that the former footballer keeps his own bees at the family home he shares with wife Victoria Beckham.
"As someone who grew up in London but has developed a love of the countryside, I’m looking forward to supporting the Foundation’s education programmes and efforts to ensure young people have a greater understanding of nature," David wrote in the post.
David and The King took a tour of Highgrove Gardens and David said it was, "inspiring to hear from His Majesty about the Foundation’s projects and ambitions during my recent visit," adding that he was "honoured to become an Ambassador for The King’s Foundation."
David's mum, Sandra, showed her support, commenting on the post to say she was "such a proud mum," adding that David's "nan and grandad would be so proud" to see their grandson stood with The King.
