Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden has confirmed her show Dare To Dance will be returning.
The series, which airs on BBC One Wales and the BBC iPlayer, will be back for four all-new episodes where Amy helps people across Wales live out their dancing dreams.
The BBC has confirmed that Amy was already filming Dare To Dance when she was diagnosed with breast cancer last year, so some of her Strictly Come Dancing friends will be helping her throughout the series.
These new Dare To Dance episodes will feature fellow Strictly professionals Dianne Buswell and Graziano Di Prima, former pro Oti Mabuse and even Welcome To Wrexham star Rob McElhenney joining Amy to encourage would-be dancers.
This year's stories include a young woman who gave up dancing when she started losing her eyesight and a firefighter who's always dreamed of the ballroom.
Dare To Dance viewers will also meet two friends hoping to perform a special dance at a Windrush Day celebration, as well as two Wrexham FC superfans who've brought their wedding forward due to a cancer diagnosis.
"I am so delighted Dare To Dance is back," Amy said. "When I dance, I feel like I can overcome anything. It’s something I want more people to experience, I really believe it can change your life.
"I was never going to let my diagnosis get in the way of what I love most and I am thrilled that my wonderful dance family could step in to ensure my wonderful students blew their family and friends away with their performance.”
"It’s terrific to have Dare To Dance back on our screens but grab a hanky, it’s emotional stuff," Nick Andrews, BBC Cymru Wales' Head of Commissioning, also said.
"Amy has drawn together an incredible and brave bunch of people as well as some of her showbiz mates. This is foot-tappingly watchable telly with oodles of drama. It’s both terrifying and joyful and only the remarkable Amy Dowden could have pulled it off.”
Four new episodes of Dare To Dance will be airing on BBC One Wales and iPlayer in March.
Strictly Come Dancing will return later this year on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
