Strictly's Shirley Ballas has been given an important new role.
The Strictly Come Dancing head judge has become president of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing.
Announcing the news, ISTD wrote on Instagram: "Shirley has been a lifelong advocate for the value of dance for all."
Shirley added: "I am beyond honoured to have been appointed president of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing.
"Sharing my passion for dance and promoting dance education for all in this new and exciting role is going to be fantastic.
"Thank you to all at the ISTD, I am looking forward to working with you all."
Shirley has previously supported ISTD's Find Your Dance Space campaign, which encourages people to find their love of dance.
Meanwhile, Shirley, who replaced Len Goodman as Strictly head judge in 2017, announced last month that she had called off her engagement to fiancé Danny Taylor.
Speaking to Alan Carr on his Life's a Beach podcast, Shirley explained: "Two marriages, an engagement, two long-term relationships later and I will not be getting married again.
"I've made the decision. My mum says they're like buses — you get on one and you get off the other.
"It's fine. I just have to get used to that again. I was engaged at 16, married at 19. Remarried at 23 and then two long-term relationships."
Strictly Come Dancing will return later this year on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
