Congratulations are in order for The Handmaid's Tale star Elisabeth Moss, who has confirmed she is expecting her first baby.

The actress revealed the happy news during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on 30 January as she showed her baby bump.

"Are you pregnant, or just an incredibly committed method actor?" the host quipped.

"A little bit of both," Moss then joked as Kimmel said "congratulations".

Asked how she was feeling, Moss admitted: "Not bad actually. I've been really lucky, it's been going really well."

The actress is currently gearing up for the sixth and final season of The Handmaid's Tale, Moss confirming on Jimmy Kimmel that filming will begin "this summer".

"People are really starting to get upset, especially when I tell them we haven’t even started shooting it yet," the star added. "'When is it coming back?' I'm like, 'Well…'. They're a little upset. So it may not be until 2025."

The show, which wrapped up its last season all the way back in November 2022, will be getting a big change-up for its final run as longtime showrunner Bruce Miller steps away, replaced by Eric Tuchman and Yahlin Chang.

The Handmaid's Tale streams on Hulu in the US and both Channel 4 and Prime Video in the UK.
