Trinny Woodall recently took to social media platform, Instagram, to share her reflections on 2023.
Trinny revealed that 2023 was "the year of change." Accompanying a video documenting some moments from the previous year, Trinny mused on everything that had taken place. "From moving house, the end of a 10-year relationship, reconnecting with old friends, Lyla leaving for university, and press trips around the world – it’s been one hell of a year," the founder of Trinny London said.
The fashion and beauty guru shared her pride about her new book, Fearless, and also spoke about her daughter, Lyla, heading off for university. "Lyla has flown the nest and is settled at university and I’m so excited for her next chapter. Now I’m at home with Lily, the parson terrier who just turned 15, my stepson and my nephew who moved in after Lyla left for uni."
In addition to reflecting on the year that has just passed, Trinny also shared her hopes for the new year, 2024. "I’m so excited for the next 12 months and there is so much more to come – stay tuned..." she said.
Prior to this, the star appeared to be busy celebrating New Year's Eve in a fabulous outfit — dressing up as a rabbit with an outfit and mask adorned in sequins.
To create a makeup look that matched her statement outfit, Trinny used products from her own beauty brand, Trinny London — including Eye2Eye, Sheer Shimmer and Flush Blush.
If your standard cleanser isn't making the cut, Trinny's AHA/PHA Gel Cleanser allows you to dig deeper.
The balmy, yet slightly textured gel, rids your skin of any grime (we're talking makeup, excess oils and dead skin cells) and cleanses thoroughly without stripping.
It's formulated with oat amino acids, which help to unclog pores, while AHA/PHA exfoliants slough away dead skin cells and create a smooth canvas for makeup application. Designed with every skin type in mind, its a no-fuss cleanser everyone can enjoy.
Lipstick should spark joy, adding a pop of colour to a simple outfit or providing the glamorous finishing touch to a night-out look.
And this new addition to Trinny's makeup line is truly joyous, as our beauty editor Anna Lao-Kaim found out when she reviewed it at launch. The formulation is light and comfortable to wear, and there are 11 feelgood shades to choose from. We suspect this is only the start for Trinny's foray into lipsticks, and they're already proving popular with a waitlist for some of the shades.
Trinny likens the skin on your neck to the delicate area around your eyes, which means it's prone to becoming loose and lined. That's where The Elevator comes into play.
The targeted concentrate is designed to give the often-forgotten neck area some much-needed TLC. The ingredients list makes an impressive read – it features isodon japonicus, a plant often used in anti-ageing skincare, thanks to its ability to minimise the effect gravity has on sagging skin. There are also decapeptides — a type of peptide that helps to give the skin its structure back.
We love the consistency of this concentrate. It's rich and balmy and feels weightless on the skin, with a refreshing fragrance that lingers.
Though Trinny says this tool is handy at any age, it's particularly useful to help plump and firm as collagen production starts to slow from our early 30s onwards. Not only does it promote faster cell regeneration, but it also helps your serums and lotions work more effectively.
Is that 'needle' mention putting you off? Trinny has provided thorough guidance to take away the fear factor. The tool comes with a QR code that takes you to a video that demystifies micro-needling, explaining how it works, and how to use your new gadget. (You use it after cleansing at night and before you apply your serum).
It might be her boldest launch yet, but boy is it effective.
If you’re new to chemical exfoliants, start your journey with Tiptoe In. It’s a great entry-level formula that uses poly-hydroxy-acid to slough away dead skin cells and reveal your skin’s natural radiance.
Start by applying it twice a week and gradually build up to daily use, to prevent irritation. Stay loyal to it and you’ll notice a brighter, clearer complexion.
Creamy, blendable and intensely pigmented, the Line2Define eyeliner can be used to create that sultry, smokey effect Trinny is so known for.
It glides on seamlessly, depositing bold colour, and although it sets into a smudge-free line, the cream is initially forgiving so it can be blended or removed if you make a mistake.
Line2Define also comes in a variety of shades, from your classic black to a punchy indigo, giving you the choice to pare things back in the day or dial them up in the evening. And to save any faffing around with a sharpener, we appreciate the retractable design.
The Plump Up Peptide HA Serum delivers more than just hydration (thanks to included hyaluronic acid). It's also packed with peptides (six in fact) that help to boost collagen and elastin production in the skin. The result is a plumper, smoother complexion. It's a truly universal product that even those with sensitive skin can enjoy.
For the days when you want just a touch of coverage, this clever pot has you, well, covered. Trinny believes that foundation and concealer should only be applied where necessary, allowing your skin's natural beauty and texture to shine through — a philosophy we can get behind.
Swipe this cream over blemishes, redness and dark spots for an immediate touch up. Give it a minute to sink in before deciding whether you need any more. Once the heat from your skin has warmed the product, it results in a lovely, natural finish.
This potent bottle combines retinal and niacinamide to nix pigmentation, while reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It's balanced enough to use every evening, so you won't experience some of the common side effects associated with retinoid use, including stinging sensations and dryness.
As for the niacinamide, it will smooth out a splotchy complexion while reducing the appearance of pores — which is particularly useful for oily skin types.
Simply apply the yellow cream after cleansing and before you moisturise, and over time you should notice brighter, clarified skin (yes, please!).
For anyone after a tiny touch of iridescence, Sheer Shimmer is a great beauty bag addition. The multi-use cheek and lip colour is glowy without being too glitzy. Try tapping it over the highest points of your cheekbones, or dabbing over a favourite lipstick.
Knowing the importance of applying SPF every day, Trinny set out to create a formula that's hydrating, hard-working and one “you’ll actually want to wear”.
Nailing the brief perfectly, See The Light helps to prevent UV damage but also feels featherlight on the skin. It’s formulated with tiny broad-spectrum filters, which protect without leaving a white cast, while raspberry leaf extract helps keep your skin supple and nourished.
Using the same product on your cheeks and lips is a brilliant way to shrink your makeup bag, but it also ensures a flattering, cohesive look, as there's no risk of your blush and lipstick clashing.
The translucent finish will blend seamlessly with your natural skin and lip tones, creating a "your-skin-but-brighter" effect.
The range's top-selling shade, Pia, looks worryingly bright in the pot but, once blended onto cheeks and lips, the result is a beautiful mood-boosting fuchsia.
BFF All Day is designed for those tricky skin days, when redness or breakouts are on your mind.
It offers a natural, matte coverage, and contains calming botanical extracts to soothe inflammation. Consider it your skincare SOS for days that require a little more cover.
Described by the brand as a "lip and line filler", this spongy cream uses a combination of silicones to instantly blur fine lines, making skin look fresher and firmer (we're hooked here at GH).
Unlike many other line-filling primers, it has a bouncy, super-hydrating texture, which means it won't look cakey or powdery after a few hours' wear.
Apply it under or over makeup — we love it dabbed on top of foundation for a smoothing boost throughout the day.
Many Trinny London love affairs begin with the BFF Cream. If you’re tired of layering on primers, creams and foundations, this refreshing, citrus-scented tinted moisturiser is for you.
The cream is white on application, but contains colour-transforming encapsulated pigments that burst when they meet your skin, creating your perfect, personalised shade.
It’s infused with SPF30, and contains light-reflecting flower extracts to help brighten dark circles and give you a luminous glow. Best of all, no brushes are required — simply use your fingers to blend it in.
If 10-shade eye palettes leave you perplexed, this is the product for you. Designed to make wearing eyeshadow effortless, these soft creams melt onto lids and stay in place without smearing.
They’re supple enough to soften onto your finger, yet won’t slip on oily eyelids. Plus, the slightly sheer finish means you’ll easily get away with slap-dash application.
Retinal reigns supreme in the skincare world, thanks to its clinically proven ability to diffuse dark spots, fade fine lines and prevent breakouts.
Trinny created Overnight Sensation as a solution to her own skin woes — pigmentation and wrinkles — and it combines retinal with a granactive retinoid to firm, brighten and smooth.
Specifically, the granactive retinoid helps to boost the skin's plumpness and radiance, while the retinal stimulates cell production (it works at a much faster rate than most others on the market).
Sandwich it between your evening cleanser and serum/moisturiser to see improvements in only a matter of weeks.
Part eye cream, part concealer, this formula contains both skin-boosting ingredients and light-reflecting pigments to instantly fade dark circles.
Hyaluronic acid draws moisture into dry, crepey skin, while vitamin C gradually brightens tone over time. With both red and blue undertones neutralised, your eyes should look instantly brighter.
