Singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor has recreated actor Barry Keoghan's naked dance sequence to her 2001 hit song 'Murder on the Dancefloor' in Saltburn's finale (spoilers follow).

After successfully seeing to the demise of the Catton family and inheriting the Saltburn manor, Oliver Quick (Keoghan) celebrates with a full-frontal dance session around his new property.

In a TikTok video shared to mark the New Year celebrations, the pop star did her best impression of the much-talked-about scene – albeit fully clothed.

"Heading into 2024 like… Happy Saltburn New Year! Xx #murderonthedancefloor #sophieellisbextor #saltburnmovie," read the video's caption.

Sophie appears in a floor-length sequin gown, shimmying and twirling down a staircase to her popular song.

In a further nod to the film, Sophie wears antlers on her head, similar to the ones worn by Keoghan's character during his fancy dress birthday party.

In a previous interview with Digital Spy, Keoghan admitted to being nervous about both the dancing and nudity involved in the fateful scene.

"I was hesitant to dance, not even get nude, it was to dance," he told us. "I don't dance, I kind of just move my head, you know what I mean?"

"The initial thing was about me having no clothes on. I'm a bit, ehhh," he added. "But after take one, I was ready to go. I was like, 'Let's go again. Let's go again.'"

Saltburn is currently on Prime Video. Ahead of its home cinema release, Keoghan shared his concerns about the dance scene being viewed from the comfort of viewer's homes.

"They can press pause... and look at it," he said.

Saltburn is now available on Prime Video.
