Stanley Tucci will be taking to the road for a new travel series.
The ten-part documentary series, titled Tucci — The Heart of Italy, will see the actor explore Italian cuisine and culture across ten different regions, according to Variety.
As part of a production deal with Disney's National Geographic, the series will be produced by BBC Studios and Specialist Factual Productions, as well as Tucci's production company, Salt Productions. Production is expected to begin in January 2024.
"National Geographic is all about adventure and exploration, and I am honoured to take viewers once again to explore Italy through the lens of food," said Tucci in a statement.
"In Italy's many distinct regions there is always something new to discover and I'm more than excited to begin the process in partnership with BBC Studios."
Executive Vice President of Global Factual and Unscripted for National Geographic, Tom McDonald, also expressed his excitement, saying: "National Geographic is the perfect home for Stanley to share his knowledge and passion for Italy's people, food and culture.
"Our programming is all about inspiring a deeper connection to the world. With Stanley as their guide, audiences will be transported to places and flavours they've never experienced before."
The Devil Wears Prada star has become quite familiar with Italy in recent years, after leading two seasons of Searching for Italy on CNN — where he delighted in the secrets and regional cuisines on offer.
Tucci — The Heart of Italy doesn't have a release date yet. Searching for Italy is streaming on BBC iPlayer.
