Imelda Staunton showed just how to perfect festive partywear, while creating a chic and timeless look - one that can be recreated time and time again in years to come.
Appearing on the red carpet outside The Royal Festival Hall in London last night (5 December), Imelda was joined by co-stars as they celebrated the finale of hit Netflix series, The Crown.
Imelda - who plays Queen Elizabeth II in the sixth series - opted for a three piece suit crafted from pine green velvet.
She paired her chic pine green suit (aptly named Queens Forest, from British designer Suzannah London) with black heels from from Sole Bliss, which were adorned with twinkling diamanté bows. Her pearl drop earrings made for an elegant finishing touch.
Imelda also opted for green earlier this week, when she attended the premiere of Wonka with her husband of 40 years, Jim Carter.
Imelda and Jim looked sharp in co-ordinating looks. While Jim opted for an open collar shirt without a tie for a more relaxed look, Imelda wore a single breasted coat in a deep shade of bottle-green. She accessorised her outfit with a pair of simple gold hoops.
Velvet has had a resurgence this season with the likes of actress Emily Blunt and football pundit Alex Scott also opting for the timeless, chic fabric.
