Strictly champion Stacey Dooley has joked about a return to the ballroom with partner Kevin Clifton.
The pair danced together on the show and eventually were crowned the winners back in 2018, before confirming that they had started dating. In January this year, the couple announced that they had welcomed their first child, a daughter called Minnie.
Clifton shared some throwback photos of the pair on Strictly on his Instagram story, including a photo of them dancing a Salsa at Blackpool, to commemorate the Blackpool special on the current series.
Dooley reshared the nostalgic moment and reflected on how five years had passed, writing: "I can't stress enough how much I DON'T LOOK like this anymore".
She also expressed her desire to return to the Tower Ballroom in the future, adding: "Let's go watch next year plssss… I'll start getting ready now."
Last month, Dooley shared an emotional reaction to her daughter watching Strictly for the first time – a full circle moment involving the show where she and Clifton first met.
Clifton was one of the longest serving professional dancers on the BBC show, competing in seven series between 2013 and 2019, and making it to an impressive four finals as well as his win alongside Dooley.
While he quit the show back in March 2020 to pursue a career on the stage (including his first ever pantomime this month), he recently returned to the spin-off show Strictly: It Takes Two to co-present the show's Choreography Corner.
He is sharing the job with his sister and fellow former Strictly professional Joanne, covering for her while she is performing in the touring production of Shrek the Musical in the role of Princess Fiona.
In the segment, the pair break down the current contestants' performances from the previous weekend, using their knowledge to suggest improvements and provide demonstrations for viewers to try at home.
