Judy Murray has revealed whether she thinks son Andy Murray will retire and what he might do next.

At Good Housekeeping Live, in partnership with Dyson, Judy Murray spoke in conversation with GH Features Director Jackie Brown before a live audience. During the talk, Judy discussed what her son, Andy might do next if he decided to end his professional playing career.

"I don't know if he's going to retire," said Judy, revealing that she could see him working with an up and coming player to guide them to success, rather than being a general tennis coach.

She said that she wouldn't want Andy's children, her grandchildren, following in their father's footsteps, as it would be a lot of additional pressure as the child of an accomplished player. If any of them did decide to play, Judy joked, "I won't be coaching them!"

Judy also revealed what Andy had said to her when she told them she was joining the Strictly Come Dancing line up.

"He stared at me for about 10 seconds and then said, oh my god. You'll be crap!" she told the audience, laughing. She said that her other tennis player son, Jamie, tweeted that he was hiding behind the sofa ahead of her first dance.

Judy performed on the show with Strictly professional Anton Du Beke and explained he had inspired her to write her new novel, The Wild Card.

The professional dancer has written novels set in the world of ballroom, and he encouraged Judy to write her own about the world of tennis, she explained.
