She's best known for being the head judge on BBC's Strictly Come Dancing, but now Shirley Ballas has turned her hand to writing.
The ballroom dancer has published her first crime fiction novel, which is available to buy now.
The novel is first to come from The Sequin Mysteries series, which will see Shirley writing a lot more in the future.
The plot follows private detective, Susie Cooper as she's called in by dance legend and one-time world champion, Lily Richmond, to investigate the murder of a promising young dancer, who collapsed during the opening tango of the festival.
As one of Lily's former dance students herself, Susie vowed she'd never return to the ballroom - let alone go undercover as a professional dancer when there's a killer on the loose...
But as the competition gets even fiercer and the bodies start to pile up, the detective-duo must unravel the rumours from the rumbas and expose the murderer's identity, before they strike again.
