We all know that smiling can be infectious - seeing someone with a happy grin is bound to put a big smile on your face too.
But, according to Trinny Woodall, there are also hidden benefits to smiling.
Taking to Instagram, the beauty guru and founder of Trinny London discussed the secret powers of smiling and what it can do for us.
"I do have the unfortunate habit of looking like I’m in a very bad mood when I’m not consciously smiling…" Trinny wrote. "Smiling does wonders for cheekbones"
She also added, "I think it releases [endorphins] in your body when you actively smile… Why not practice a little extra smiling today and see where it takes you?"
Trinny revealed she was going to be practising smiling more herself, during her yoga session with Victoria Woodall.
The beauty mogul's comments come after she previously revealed she has "lots going on." She said that Autumn is also the time of year that she always experiences some anxiety.
"I always associate it with going back to school, or of waiting for a new contract to be re-confirmed, so I lived in a hiatus of don’t know if it will happen or not," she said.
Trinny will be appearing at Good Housekeeping Live (in partnership with Dyson), which takes place from 10-11 November.
Meanwhile, science shows that laughter really can be the best medicine. Short-term benefits include stimulating your heart, lungs and muscles and soothing muscle tension.
Long-term effects even include improving mood and increasing personal satisfaction and one study even found that people who laugh a lot can live for longer.
Now that's something to smile about!
