Jo Whiley has been pictured wearing a sparkling green stripe dress at Radio 2 in the Park, which was held in Leicester over the weekend (16 – 17 September).

In an Instagram post, the BBC2 Radio DJ curated her trademark outfit of a dress paired with trainers, which she later accessorised with classic aviator sunglasses.

Jo looked effortlessly glam in sequins as she was pictured laughing with the likes of Rylan Clarke and Zoe Ball.

She later enthused about the BBC music event, which saw the likes of Kylie Minogue, Rick Astley, Bananarama, Jessie Ware and Soft Cell take to the stage.

"Truly, the most brilliant weekend in Leicester. Thanks to all of you for being so warm and welcoming," Jo wrote on Instagram. "Thanks to everyone in the extended @bbcradio2 family for putting the show on the road and making it sound and look so excellent."

One fan commented: "Jo you always wear the best dresses!!!"

Another said: "Your set in the DJ tent this afternoon was awesome, so much energy, so much love and all the sequins!!!"

The two-day music festival - which Jo labelled "a very special last summer hurrah☀️" - comes after Jo's summer was filled with live music.

She recently opened up in an exclusive interview with Good Housekeeping about her favourite festival memories, including the time she ended up dancing on stage at Glastonbury.

"I love the spontaneity. You never know who’s going to be there and what kind of incredible sight you’re going to see," she said.

"I’ve had so many memorable moments there, such as introducing Paul McCartney. I must have practised that link about a gazillion times and I was so relieved when I got it right. And then there was the moment I was thrust on stage by Nile Rogers and made to dance."
