Giovanna Fletcher is embarking on a 100km trek through the French Alps in Mont Blanc, to fundraise for breast cancer charity, CoppaFeel!
The mum-of-three is joined by GBBO star Candice Brown, Anna Whitehouse (Mother Pukka), Kelsey Parker and Pete Wicks, plus over 100 supporters.
The group is currently trekking approximately 100km over five days, through the world-famous Chamonix valley under the shadows of Mont Blanc, Europe’s tallest mountain.
Trekkers are being pushed to their limits, spending over eight hours each day on mountainous terrain and rough paths.
CoppaFeel! patron, Giovanna, shared an update on Instagram with fans, revealing that she has experienced "lots of tears, lots of laughter and lots of brilliant chats. Knees and feet aren’t particularly happy with me, but my heart is full."
She added: "Without the views it would’ve been easy to feel heavy and discouraged."
Giovanna and her fellow trekkers are camping in the heart of the French Alps, where they will see stunning glaciers, natural reserves, and picture-perfect panorama views.
"The treks brings together the most inspiring group of people, all to raise money and awareness for CoppaFeel!" says Giovanna. "We become a family during the treks, forming friendships that will last a lifetime."
And it's all for a very good cause - Giovanna revealed that the group had already raised an astonishing £442,290, just one day into the trip.
The donations will go to CoppaFeel! to continue their life-saving work.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK, affecting one in seven women in their lifetime and around 400 men a year. But the good news is that the charity is seeing an increase in the number of people regularly checking their breasts and chests - breast cancer is more treatable when diagnosed early.
