EastEnders actor Bobby Brazier has revealed that he will be taking a break from the soap and has even filmed exit scenes.

The actor has played Freddie Slater since 2022, a character who was last seen as a baby and is the son of Little Mo Mitchell (Kacey Ainsworth). However, Brazier will now be taking a break from that role in order to compete in this year's edition of Strictly Come Dancing.

In a new interview, the EastEnders star told media: "I’m taking a break. I’ve filmed it all, and I’m not telling you. I’ll be back."

The star has said that he will dedicate a dance to his mum, Jade Goody, who died in 2009 to cervical cancer, while he's on the show. He revealed this in an interview discussing which songs he wants to use while on the show.

"There's a few – it depends on the mood. 'Saturday Love' and also 'This Woman's Worth' by Maxwell – that would be beautiful, I'd hope to make people cry doing that. Maybe I'll dedicate that one [to my mum]. I haven't thought about it, but maybe that one," Brazier said.
