Strictly judge Shirley Ballas has taken to social media to share a cute video of her mum surprising her on BBC Breakfast on Monday (14 August).
In the video, the star is showing behind the scenes of her appearing on the show, before she is surprised by her mum live on air.
The star was in complete shock to see her 86-year-old mother Audrey join her on the sofa to congratulate her on completing her recent Skyathlon challenge.
To caption the sweet video, Shirley wrote: "When your mother surprises you on @bbcbreakfast… 🥹 What a beautiful morning celebrating the end of my Skyathlon with @calmzone. ❤️ I am in shock. It has been an emotional journey this week with many highs and lots of lows. Honestly my mum and I have struggled. I don’t think I quite realised the impact this week would have on my mum, reliving all the memories. But to see mum looking beautiful and all glammed up in her outfit really touched me. Thank you for this beautiful surprise. It’s taken 7 years for her to sit on a television sofa. I will treasure this moment forever. Xxx"
Shirley was appearing on BBC Breakfast to celebrate her finishing her three charity challenges: a 500m zipline, a wing walk 700ft above ground and a 13,000ft skydive.
The dancing legend was undertaking a Skyathlon, to raise money for the mental health charity CALM.
A charity very close to her heart, Shirley is a CALM ambassador, and her recent challenges were dedicated to her brother David, who took his own life 20 years ago.
Well done to Shirley for completing her Skyathlon!
