Prince William made a surprise appearance in a burger van over the weekend, as he popped up to serve customers for an important cause.
The Prince of Wales rolled up his sleeves and got stuck in serving surprised customers special burgers, as part of a collaboration with winners of the Earthshot prize.
The Earthshot prize is an environmental award championed by Prince William, which promotes innovative products or initiatives striving to help "repair and regenerate the planet," according to the Prince.
From the burger van, Prince William served food made by Sorted, which was cooked on gadgets awarded the Earthshot prize.
As he handed out dishes to customers, Prince William explained that they were being served in plastic-free boxes using a seaweed coating, from winner Not PLA, and that the ingredients in the burgers themselves were grown in greenhouses in India by a brand called Kheyti.
He added that Special Mukuru Clean Stoves which help reduce air pollution were chosen to cook the burgers on, as the stoves use a stone which doesn't emit any gases.
Clips from Prince William's surprise shift at the eco burger van were posted on the official Instagram account he shares with the Princess of Wales, while a full video of the event was shared to their YouTube account.
In a caption alongside the Instagram clip Prince William wrote, "#Earthshot Burger anyone? A very special collaboration using extraordinary @earthshotprize solutions to create a @sortedfood recipe like no other," and tagged the three accounts of the Earthshot prize winners involved.
