Stacey Dooley and her partner Kevin Clifton have talked about the future of their daughter.
The pair are doting parents to baby Minnie, whom they welcomed in January this year. Since becoming first-time parents, the couple have been open about their parenthood journey together – and have recently talked about whether they'd like the little one to take up dancing in the future.
Despite their shared love for dancing, Stacey and Kevin seemingly have different agendas when it comes to their daughter's potential future on the dancefloor.
In Stacey's upcoming documentary titled Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over: Family and Me, Kevin revealed he doesn't want Minnie following in his footsteps.
"I don't want Minnie to dance," said the Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer (via Metro). "It's too competitive a world. I would rather she do something else, anything else."
Meanwhile, Stacey argued: "I think she's going to have rhythm because, of course, Kev can dance. I would love her to dance."
Their chat over Minnie's future comes after Stacey ruled out the possibility of tying the knot. In an interview with The Sun, the presenter revealed how her love for Kevin has grown stronger, but she doesn't see herself walking down the aisle anytime soon.
"Marriage has never been massively important to me," the documentary maker said. "Also, it's well documented that Kev's done it a couple of times before. It's just never been something I've dreamt about. But I couldn't have done this [motherhood] without Kev. It's weird. I've always loved him, but it's a different love I have for Kev now."
Stacey and Kevin found love on Strictly Come Dancing back in 2018. The duo successfully danced their way into the final, before eventually lifting the coveted glitterball trophy.
Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over: Family and Me is available to watch at 10pm on August 3 on W. Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
