David Beckham shares nostalgic throwback to mark his dad's birthday

David Beckham shared a nostalgic throwback in honour of his dad's birthday, with his 81.2 million followers on Instagram on Monday (24 July).

In the social media post, David included a photograph of him and his dad, standing in front of a souvenir shop for the Manchester United football club, the team David began his sporting career at aged 17.

The photo is a real 90s flashback, with the father-son duo both in the recognisable fashion of the day, with boxy t-shirts tucked into basketball shorts.

"Happy Birthday Dad hope you have an amazing day love u so much," David wrote in a caption alongside the image.

David often shares personal highlights from his personal and family life, and posted a family snap over the weekend alongside his wife and former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham and two of their children; only daughter Harper Seven and the youngest of their three sons, Cruz.

The family were supporting David at the football club he co-owns, Inter Miami, after signing legendary player Lionel Messi.

Cruz Beckham was even wearing a club shirt with the new player's name and number on the back, in support of the team's latest addition.

Friends and other famous faces joined the family for the occasion, with A list stars like Kim Kardashian and sporting legends such as tennis star Serena Williams spotted in the crowd, as well as posing for photographs with David.

David and Victoria Beckham celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary earlier this month and have four children together, Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper Seven.
