And Just Like That… star Sarah Jessica Parker has broken her silence on Kim Cattrall’s cameo.
Kim reprised her role as Samantha Jones with a cameo appearance in the spin-off to Sex and the City, marking her first appearance as the character in over a decade following her feud with Parker.
In an interview with The Daily Mail, Sarah Jessica alluded to Kim’s cameo and other returning characters, saying it had been "nostalgic and exciting."
"We've been really thoughtful about the ways in which we've, you know, approached characters that hadn't been around," she said. "The ways we have invited actors back [has] been really fun and exciting and certainly nostalgic, but I think more than that, it's been a lot of joy."
Whilst fans have been speculating if Kim's brief return will lead to a larger part in the future, fellow lead star Kristin Davis hinted that they should temper their excitement.
"I don’t know that there’s a closure or resolution necessarily, those are like, kind of big things that I don’t know that we were going for," she said. "We just thought that, you know, it would be fun for the fans to have a little bit of Samantha because we know that they miss her and she’s a great character.
"We know people miss her and Carrie misses her… and wouldn’t this be great to have a little bit of her - that’s what we wanted. I think maybe hopes have been lifted, possibly higher than that. And that was not our intention. So I hope people aren’t disappointed," she added.
And Just Like That, the sequel to Sex and the City, airs on Max in the US and Sky Comedy and NOW in the UK.
