The Queen took part in a ceremony to honour a special horse, which she officially renamed ahead of The King's Birthday Parade this weekend.
Queen Camilla officially named a horse Juno (formerly Willa Rose) in anticipation of the birthday parade. During the event, Juno will "carry the rank of Major" and lead the parade down The Mall, explained a post on the official Royal Family's instagram account.
Juno is the first mare (female horse) to be a Drum Horse in the Household Cavalry and she also has a special history with The Queen.
The King and Queen first visited Juno in 2018 during a trip to Wales. "Formally known as Willa Rose, Juno was bred by Huw Murphy of Dyfed Shire Horses in Wales," explained the post. "Inspired by the visit, Her Majesty chose Huw as one of her rural heroes when she guest edited the July 2022 edition of Country Life."
For the occasion, Queen Camilla wore a vibrant green polka dot dress. During the same day (14 June), The Queen had also been attending the Bees for Development (BFD) Bee Garden Party at Marlborough House.
While there, she met with honey producers, artists, and long-term supporters of the charity, including Great British Bake Off star Prue Leith.
Queen Camilla gave a nod to the event with a small piece of jewellery on the belt loop of her dress in the shape of a bee.
The Queen demonstrated how the midi dress is the perfect summer staple and we've found some of our favourite high street picks below:
