Fearne Cotton wished her mum, Lin Cotton, a very happy 70th birthday on social media.
Taking to Instagram, the mother of two wrote, “Happy 70th Mumma Cotton. Here's to mischief, living life to the max, switching things up, standing up for what you believe in, fashion and a cool campari.
“All that makes you brilliantly you. Today we will heartily celebrate your 70 years on planet eath. Love you mumma.”
In the post shared to almost four million followers, she also added a string of cheeky throwback photos of her mum, including fun pictures of her when she was younger.
Followers and famous friends left their own wishes in the comments. TV cook Juliet Sear wrote, “Happy birthday Linda!! Hope you all have a fab time celebrating”, and 2016 Great British Bake Off winner Candice Brown said, “The perfect pic.”
This comes after Fearne released the most recent episode of her Happy Place podcast, where she chatted to Queen of British Soul Beverley Knight. In the episode, they commemorate Beverley turning 50, and talk about how to feel confident in your own skin, and why getting older should be celebrated.
Alongside a preview video posted to Instagram yesterday (12 June), she wrote, “In this chat, Fearne and Beverley talk about the importance of celebrating artistic expression, and why it’s freeing not to care what other people think about how we dress.
“Plus, Beverley describes the moment her body gave her a clear signal that she needed to slow down for her own physical and mental wellbeing.”
