Joe Swash has credited I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! for his marriage to Stacey Solomon.
The former EastEnders actor famously won the eighth series of the hit ITV reality show back in 2008, and returned to co-host I'm A Celebrity: Extra Camp in 2010 when the Loose Women panellist became Queen of the jungle.
The soap star recently appeared on the spin-off series in South Africa, though he was eliminated last night (May 9).
After his exit, Joe revealed to Ant and Dec that he found the show more difficult this time around, as he struggled to be apart from his family.
"I think I found it tougher ultimately because of being away from the kids for so long," he said. "I missed my family so much. We had our phones taken away and I’ve never not had communication with them before.
"My kids are young and I knew they wouldn’t really understand where I was and would be upset. It really played on me. And being in the camp, it always brings up memories for me of Stacey.
"If it wasn’t for the show, I would never have my family. My family were always in the front of my mind. I found that really difficult. A lot harder than I thought I would.
He added: "But again I was really lucky as the people in camp kept my spirits high."
Joe and Stacey share three children together and welcomed their third child, Belle, earlier this year.
