Dame Helen Mirren just admitted being a little more than starstruck by her 1923 co-star Harrison Ford.
The Academy Award winner and the beloved actor star in the Yellowstone prequel as rancher couple Cara and Jacob 'Jack' Dutton. Speaking at The Wrap's 2023 Awards Season Screening Series, Helen addressed being in some bedroom scenes with Harrison, admitting to being "excited" and struggling to keep her cool.
"I had to be in the bed with him, you know. I'm dressed up to here," she said, gesturing to her neck.
"But I'm lying there and I'm thinking, 'I'm in bed with Harrison Ford.' I was so excited, I can't tell you. I had to pretend to be cool."
"Don't tell him," she then said. "Promise me."
Helen had nothing but praise for the Blade Runner star, describing him as "generous" and "professional" on set.
"He's come to a place where he can be easy with other actors," she said.
"It's immensely generous and incredibly professional. Not remotely spoiled movie star at all. I genuinely love him," she continued, quipping: "If I wasn't married…". (Both Harrison and Helen are married: the former to Ally McBeal actress Calista Flockhart, the latter to director Taylor Hackford.)
It seems that Helen will have to get ready for some more intimate scenes with her on-screen partner as 1923 was renewed for a second season of eight episodes earlier this year.
Created by actor and filmmaker Taylor Sheridan, the Yellowstone universe is set to further expand with three more spin-offs currently in the works: Bass Reeves, 1944, and 6666.
All episodes of 1923 are available to stream now on Paramount+. Yellowstone and prequel 1883 also air on the same platform.
