The Great British Bake Off’s 2018 winner Rahul Mandal has shared some sweet reunion snaps with his former competitors, Ruby Bhogal and Antony Amourdoux.
Rahul shared the photos on Instagram, revealing that the trio went out to dinner for a good catch-up and gossip.
"#Reunited with my @britishbakeoff of family," he began the lengthy caption. "It has been long since I physically met @rubybhogal and it is like forever for @antony_amourdoux."
Rahul, who also took home the trophy for the show's 2021 New Year's special, continued: "Honestly, Ruby and Antony are my brother and sister, always there for me.
"We do chat every now and then, barely speak on phone, but when we meet, it feels like just yesterday we met each other... even though it was like more than a year since I last met Ruby and about 3 years since I met Antony."
The two-time champion went on to tell his followers that the three of them "laughed, ate and gossiped", just like any "normal siblings" would do.
"But, thanks so much for meeting up at the very last minute. It was typical me texting them on Monday night for meeting up on Tuesday," he added. "Hope you all having a great week with your #friends and #family!"
Ruby, who reached the Bake Off final with Rahul back in 2018, commented on the post: "Oooo the tea was SPILT! Was so good to see you for our annual catch up, maybe let’s not leave it so long as I don’t think a single breath was had during those few hours. Gossip galore."
"Was lovely to see you darling x and not this long for our next catch up please," wrote Antony.
