Just like Queen Elizabeth II's numerous jubilee celebrations or the wedding of the Prince and Princess of Wales, many royal occasions go hand in hand with a right royal knees-up and the coronation of King Charles, which is set to take place on Saturday 6 May at Westminster Abbey in London, is no exception.

It was announced in 2022 that Monday 8 May will be a bank holiday in order for the public to maximise their coronation festivities and, in January, Buckingham Palace announced further detail around the plans for Charles' coronation weekend, including a Coronation Concert.

When is the Coronation Concert 2023?

The Coronation Concert is set to take place at Windsor Castle on Sunday 7 May and be broadcast on TV and radio. The Palace says the public concert "will bring global music icons and contemporary stars together in celebration of the historic occasion."
