The Princess of Wales wore matching coats with her daughter, Princess Charlotte, to attend an annual carol service at Westminster Abbey on Thursday (15 December).

The Prince and Princess of Wales attended the Together at Christmas carol service with the eldest two of their three children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

Kate and Princess Charlotte wore matching burgundy coats for the occasion. Kate opted for a full-length, A-line coat, while Princess Charlotte wore a traditional double-breasted coat complete with a classic collar. Prince William and Prince George were also co-ordinated in smart, dark suits.

Photographs of the event show the family sitting together in Westminster Abbey next to a grand Christmas tree for the service, and the Princess of Wales giving high fives to children at the event.

On their official social media account, the Prince and Princess of Wales described the service as “a joyous evening,” and thanked all those who were involved in the evening.

“Thank you to everyone who has helped make #TogetherAtChristmas so special,” said the Prince and Princess. “It was fantastic to celebrate inspiring individuals and outstanding organisations with you all.”

Other members of the Royal Family also attended the Together at Christmas event, including The King and Queen Consort, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, Zara and Mike Tindall and the Countess of Wessex.

For the service, The Queen Consort opted or a festive approach in a chic white midi coat and a sparkling red brooch. Beneath her coat, the skirt of a leopard print dress could be seen, which she paired with black suede boots and leather gloves.
