Call the Midwife star Helen George celebrated her daughter’s birthday and posted a pair of adorable pictures online.
In a post on Instagram, Helen shared two photos to mark the 1st birthday of her daughter, Lark.
The first photo sees the toddler sitting in front of an inflatable number one balloon, with the birthday girl being surrounded by wrapped gifts. The second snap shows Helen carrying Lark, with the pair backstage at a festival.
The post, which was captioned “One year with Lark x”, was inundated with messages from friends – some of whom were famous.
Call the Midwife co-star Victoria Yeates, who plays Sister Winifred, commented: “Oh baby! X,” whilst Steps singer Ian ‘H’ Watkins responded to the post with four love heart emojis.
When announcing Lark’s name last year, Helen, who is in a relationship with co-star Jack Ashton, joked: “Our second little bird. This is Lark. We should probably stop there so we don't end up with a Goose.” The quip is in reference to the couple’s eldest daughter, Wren, who was born in 2017.
Helen, who plays Trixie Franklin on the BBC show, teased the developments of her character in the upcoming Christmas special, saying: “Christmas is lovely for Trixie, there's some lovely stuff going on. Heidi [Thomas, series creator] just writes so well for the character.
“And there's always a surprise – every series I go, 'Oh my God, you're kidding me, that's going to happen to Trixie?' So, I think that's what keeps the character kind of stretched,” she continued.
The first look at the special, which was filmed alongside episodes for the 12th series, was unveiled in October, with the behind-the-scenes photo showing Helen having fun in the snow alongside co-stars Leonie Elliott and Megan Cusack.
Call the Midwife airs on BBC One.
