Disney has moved forward the release date of Disenchanted.
The studio initially said the movie would premiere on November 24, 2022 on Disney+. However, in what will no doubt come as good news to fans, that has since changed.
Disney has moved the streaming release date from November 24 to November 18, which is a full six days earlier than expected.
The studio shared the news on Instagram where it unveiled a brand new poster featuring Amy Adams as Giselle.
Disenchanted picks up 15 years after Giselle (Adams) and Robert (Patrick Dempsey) tied the knot.
Giselle has grown disillusioned with her life in the city, so they move their growing family to the sleepy suburban community of Monroeville in search of a fairytale happy ending.
However, still frustrated that her happily-ever-after hasn’t been so easy to find, she turns to the magic of Andalasia for help, accidentally transforming the entire town into a real-life fairy tale and placing her family’s future happiness in jeopardy.
Now, Giselle is in a race against time to reverse the spell and determine what happily-ever-after truly means to her and her family.
Meanwhile, the new sequel is set to take everything that made the first movie so beloved and make it even bigger.
Adams has previously teased that the long-awaited movie features "a lot more singing and a lot more dancing".
However, now almost two decades on from the first, Adams confessed she found it tougher the second time around.
"The last time I really danced as much as I'm required to dance in this, I was in my 20s, and now I'm not in my 20s," she said.
"It feels different in your 40s. In my heart, I look like I'm in my 20s when I'm dancing, and then I would watch playback and be like, 'Whoa, that's not the same.'"
Disenchanted will be released on Disney+ on November 18, while Enchanted is available to watch now.
