Camilla, the Queen Consort, was all smiles as she posed with Paddington Bear teddy bears on Friday, 13 October.
The stuffed animals had been left by the public in memory of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. Explaining the story behind the picture and what will happen next to these lovely teddy bears, The Royal Family social media account shared a photo of Camilla amongst the bears with the following caption:
"🏷️ 🧸Please look after this bear
"The Queen Consort is pictured with some of the 1,000 teddy bears that were left in tribute to Queen Elizabeth, and will shortly find new loving homes with @barnardos_uk children’s services. The bears have been scrubbed up to look their best, before they are delivered to their new home.
"The bears are currently being well looked after at Buckingham Palace, Clarence House and in the Royal Parks nursery located in Hyde Park.
"The photograph was taken by @chrisjacksongetty at Clarence House on 13 October 2022 - the 64th anniversary of the publication of the first Paddington bear book."
For the heartwarming picture, Camilla poses with a huge smile on her face and a Paddington Bear toy resting on her lap. The Queen Consort looked smart and elegant in a navy outfit for the image.
After the death of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, many mourners left Paddington Bear toys as a form of tribute at the gates of palaces all over the UK.
Many will remember the touching video of the Queen meeting Paddington Bear and enjoying tea and marmalade sandwiches together, with the footage being shared for Her Majesty's Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June 2022.
