It's time to dust off your dancing shoes because we know when the launch show for Strictly Come Dancing 2022 will film.
The BBC has confirmed that the new series will record the launch show on Wednesday, September 7, meaning that viewers will likely see this year's celebrity contestants paired up with their dance partners that weekend.
"The stunning 20th series returns, bringing glamour and show-stopping dancing back to Saturday nights on BBC One – and we're extremely excited to be able to welcome an audience back to the studio for this year's shows," the broadcaster's statement reads.
The celeb contestants have also started to be revealed, with the first announced being Former Hollyoaks and Coronation Street star Will Mellor, closely followed by fellow soap star, TV host and singer Kym Marsh.
The first two were followed up the following morning with Radio 2's Richie Anderson who reads the travel news on former It Tales Two host Zoe Ball's breakfast show. The former footballer will be in a same sex pairing.
Loose Women's Kaye Adams was the fourth to be revealed, saying : "I said I wanted to make the last year of my fifties memorable and I can't think of a better way of doing it than showing the world my two left feet. Pray for me!"
The 5th celeb announced was comedian Jayde Adams, followed by gold medal Paralympian Ellie Simmonds, Kiss FM DJ Tyler West, and 80s pop icon Matt Goss.
But as for who the celebs will be paired up with we'll have to wait till next month. The 20 pro dancers set to feature in this year's series have already begun rehearsals, with some new faces in amongst the returnees.
The newbies include European cup winner Vito Coppola, Chinese National Champion Carlos Gu, former under-21 British National Champion Lauren Oakley, and Latin dance champion Michelle Tsiakkas.
Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman are set to return as hosts, while Rylan Clark and Janette Manrara are also expected to be back as hosts of Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two.
Meanwhile, the Strictly judging panel of Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas, and Anton Du Beke are all returning this series.
It was officially confirmed earlier this year that former judge Bruno Tonioli has permanently left the show after 18 years due to travel and clashes with his role on Dancing with the Stars.
Opening up about the decision to leave, he shared: "At the moment, you know it's just as impossible – you know the situation is too complicated – but they're all my brothers and sisters. We're all loving each other, you know, no hard feelings, they're great, they do a great job.
"No one knows what's going to happen in the future, but at the moment I do the American show but I can't do the travel. It's impossible."
Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One.
