Strictly Come Dancing star Nicola Adams has welcomed her first child with Ella Baig.
The boxer announced that their son was born on Saturday morning (July 9) in a statement, but has not yet revealed his name.
Nicola was bursting with pride for her partner Ella, as she revealed the happy news.
She said: "We are so excited to have welcomed our son into the world on Saturday morning at around 7am. Nothing prepares you for this moment in life but I am so overwhelmed with love and proud of Ella.
"We can't wait to start this new chapter with baby Adams."
Back in February, Nicola announced that she and blogger Ella were expecting their first child together.
The Olympic champion and her partner shared a joint Instagram post to let their followers know the exciting update with a picture of their ultrasound scan of the baby.
"We're so excited to announce that our family is expanding," she wrote at the time. "After what feels like a lifetime, we can finally say we're going to be parents! We're so excited to share this magical journey with you all, the ups, the downs everything in between."
The couple later announced their baby's sex in an unconventional twist on a sex reveal as they peeled away vinyl letters from a rainbow wall to reveal the words, 'It's a boy'.
Nicola and Ella had been trying for a baby together for three years, before bringing their little one into the world.
Ella also suffered a miscarriage after their first round of IVF treatment, which Nicola admitted was an "upsetting" experience for them both.
Nicola explained to Vogue: "Unbeknownst to us, Ella went through her first rounds of IVF with an underactive thyroid which can dramatically impact the chances of having a healthy pregnancy.
"I was really upset. Of course, we knew that there was a chance of it being unsuccessful, but it's hard to see those two lines on a pregnancy test and feel elated before having that ripped from you just a few weeks later."
She added: "I was also more upset for Ella as she was the one going through the process physically. You don’t really know what to say or do – you just have to be supportive."
Strictly Come Dancing will return to BBC One in the autumn.
