The Countess of Wessex looked stunning in a red midi dress for an official royal tour of the Caribbean alongside her husband, Prince Edward.
Sophie Wessex and Prince Edward (the Queen’s youngest son) arrived in St Lucia over the weekend to begin their tour, in honour of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee year.
For the first day of the tour, the Countess looked chic in a red midi shirt dress with long sleeves which she paired with cream, open-toed sandals.
Sophie added a tan clutch to finish the sophisticated look, while Prince Edward was smart in a dark suit and navy tie, adding a pocket square in a similar shade to his wife’s dress.
Photographs of the visit were shared on the Royal Family’s official social media channels, showing the pair being welcomed at the airport and meeting important figures.
A caption alongside the images explained that the royal couple were, “welcomed by the Honourable Philip J. Pierre, Prime Minister and His Excellency Mr Cyril Errol Melchiades Charles, Acting Governor General.”
After their stay in St Lucia, Prince Edward and Sophie Wessex will go onto to visit St Vincent and the Grenadines and Antigua and Barbuda, where they will, “meet communities, local entrepreneurs and young people in celebration of the culture, future and vibrancy of the islands.”

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also undertook a royal tour of the Caribbean earlier this year.
Activities on their visit included meeting local communities, swimming with sharks and visiting the winners of the Earthshot Prize (an environmental award championed by Prince William), to learn more about their work to repair underwater coral.
