Good news for all Call the Midwife fans, as the BBC show's stars are returning to set soon.
Megan Cusack, who plays Nancy Corrigan, has teased the upcoming series 12 in a chat with RadioTimes.
"It's coming very soon," Cusack said. "So [I'm] just really excited to get together with everyone again because everyone's so lovely. It's like a family. The crew are great. It's great crack."
She then added: "It's that weird time in between where you're like, 'I'd actually just like to be with everyone still!'"
Cusack's co-stars Laura Main and Helen George, who play Shelagh Turner and Trixie Franklin respectively, joined in, teasing the next chapter.
"I am so excited," Main said, before George added that there's "not too long to go".
George also explained that the show won't have COVID restrictions in place "for the first time in a few years," saying it "will be wonderful".
"There will be no perspex," said Main. "We can kiss, we can touch and do what we do."
Earlier this week, the stars of the period drama also addressed the show's future, saying they hope the series will continue for years.
"I think the amazing thing about it [the show] is it's so wonderful getting to be with the characters for so long and not necessarily knowing where their journey is going. We get to live with them," Cusack said, while Ella Bruccoleri (Sister Frances) said she feels "it will go on and on and on".
Despite cancellation rumours, Call the Midwife has been renewed for a 13th season to follow the upcoming 12th instalment, due to premiere in 2023.
