The Voice UK presenter Emma Willis and former Radio 1 star Nick Grimshaw have joined forces for a brand new Channel 4 reality series.

The Great Home Transformation will see the pair help families turn around their abodes in three days with the help of a truck that contains a moodboard, visualising a stylish new design for their homes.

The new looks will have "zero structural changes required, based simply on the family's activities and needs", with the two presenters and the families themselves mostly overseeing the change-ups.

The six-part series has been done in partnership with IKEA, and promises to show "how simple and achievable it is to radically change your home for the better through smart yet accessible design".

"The team will work hard to create the best living spaces possible ahead of the families moving back into what will feel like a brand new home in just three days," the synopsis adds.

"Nick and Emma will be on hand every step of the way pulling off some highly emotional reveals, including additional and unexpected secret room reveals for one family member in every episode."

The two will also share innovative and sustainable design solutions for families of all shapes and sizes, including homeowners and renters.

Nick expressed his excitement over the new project on his Instagram page, writing: "As you know I am obsessed with all things design so cannot wait for you to see how we are gonna be transforming family homes across the UK. The Great Home Transformation is coming to your screens this spring."

Emma added on her own page: "This Spring we will be transforming family homes across the country in just three days, with the help of a revolutionary truck, specialist technology and interior design intelligence".

The Great Home Transformation is set to premiere this spring on Channel 4.
