Call the Midwife spoilers follow.
The stars of Call the Midwife have teased what could be the best episodes the show has aired in its eleven seasons.
Max Macmillan and Stephen McGann, known for playing Timothy Turner and Dr Patrick Turner respectively, have taken to Twitter to let fans know they are in for a real treat.
"This whole series was absolutely fantastic, but these next two upcoming episodes of Call the Midwife are the ones I'm the most excited I've EVER been for people to see," Macmillan tweeted on February 9.
McGann retweeted Macmillan's thoughts, adding: "<proud sniff> The lad's not wrong...".
Despite the excitement of the cast, it looks like the final two episodes might include a tragic incident that could shock long-standing fans of the period drama.
The most recent episode of Call the Midwife featured an ominous warning in the form of a raven spotted in the nunnery by Sister Monica Joan (Judy Parfitt).
Later on, she visited clairvoyant Dulcie Greenhalgh (Frances Tomelty), who revealed that she foresaw "something unfortunate" would occur at Nonnatus House. However, the clairvoyant didn't give any further details on what kind of accident might endanger the nunnery, leaving both characters and fans in the dark.
McGann has previously confirmed the series will include a mysterious twist that could change the lives of the show's protagonist.
"It's big, it's brilliant and it is a real challenge," McGann told RadioTimes.com. "And I think for people who watch the show, I think it's a departure. It's different. It's ambitious.
"Everybody, in their way, is affected by it. Everyone comes into it. It smashes. It's great. And it shows us again going on and on with this thing and finding new things to tell."
Call the Midwife airs on Sundays at 8pm on BBC One.
