Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden has unveiled a brand-new series that she will be hosting for BBC Wales from next year.
Dare To Dance will see individuals and groups perform a big, specific routine to surprise their family or friends on a special occasion, all choreographed by Amy – who described the series as "joyous and uplifting".
Sharing the news on her Instagram page, the dancer said: "So excited the news is out! I'm going to be hosting my own series, Dare to dance. 6x30min episodes due to air early 2023!
"Big thanks to the @bbc @wildflameproductions @bbccymruwales for the wonderful opportunity. It's going to be such a joyous and uplifting show and I can't wait to take people on their own journey of dance!"
Production company Wildflame's creative director Llinos Griffin-Williams added (via WalesOnline): "Amy is truly inspirational and we are thrilled to be working with her again following the huge success of Strictly Amy: Crohn's and Me on both BBC Wales and BBC One.
"Amy Dowden's Dare to Dance is a very exciting format which we hope will have a positive impact on all those who watch it."
The news comes a few days after Amy revealed she had been admitted to hospital for a Crohn's disease flare-up during the Strictly live tour.
Taking to her Instagram, the star revealed: "To me, my condition is at its cruellest when it takes me away from my biggest passion, dancing! I can't thank my fellow cast enough… it certainly helps to have some strapping male dancers there to help carry you too.
"I love you all! To the entire @strictlycomedancinglive team, thank you! Thank you for the incredible care I received in Manchester hospital and biggest thanks to all the fans who have sent such beautiful messages.
"I'm so sorry for not being able to perform for you! I'm feeling SO MUCH BETTER and I'll be back dancing with the gang, living the dream before you know it! Lots of Welsh love."
Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One.
