Alex Jones took to Instagram to share a selection of charming photographs of her family on winter walks through the countryside.

The One Show presenter posted a number of sweet images with her husband and children on leafy walks through the forest.

In the first photo, Alex smiles while holding the newest addition to the family, baby daughter Annie. In another photograph, sons Kit and Teddy can be seen happily splashing around in an outdoor hot tub.

The children can been sliding down leafy slopes, while Alex also included photographs of the sun setting through the trees.

In a caption alongside the images Alex wrote, “weekend wandering,” providing the ultimate winter walking inspiration to get out into nature.

Many of Alex’s social media followers expressed their appreciation of the charming photos.

“Aww family doing the simple things… lovely,” wrote one follower. Others added, “What a fabulous weekend you had, looks a brilliant place getting back to nature,” and called it “good old fashioned outdoor fun!”

Alex Jones had been away for four months from The One Show on maternity leave but recently returned to screens in her permanent role.

Alex rejoined the sofa on 4 January to welcome in 2022 as presenter once again, alongside Jermaine Jenas for her first day back.

During the episode, Alex admitted to her co-host that her New Year’s resolution was, “to be a little bit more relaxed, so today [is my] first official day back from maternity. My husband Charlie [is] on paternity and I need to learn to let go a bit of things at home. Let him do it his way. [It's] tricky."
