Killing Eve has just dropped a new teaser for its fourth (and final) series showing us some new characters.

The fourth season of the black-comedy/thriller arrives on February 27, 2022 and, as the trailer teases, don't expect any happy endings.

The trailer begins where season three ended with Eve (played by Sandra Oh) and Villanelle (Jodie Comer) standing on London’s Tower Bridge.

What to read next

The voice of Carolyn (Fiona Shaw) can then be heard saying: "Do you ever think what might have happened if we hadn’t done what we did?"

We then recap the events of season three, before Carolyn adds: "People like us aren’t made for happy lives with happy endings."

The trailer then flashes through some of what to expect from season four, including briefly showing two new female characters, one holding a cardboard box and another who appears to have a dead sheep on her shoulders.

So far there's no information out there about who these characters could be so let the fan theories commence!

The clip ends with Eve on a mobility scooter while Villanelle walks beside her, with Eve asking: "Wanna ride?"

Speaking about what to expect from the final season, the show's executive producer Sally Woodward Gentle previously teased: "Eve and Villanelle, having left each other in total turmoil on Tower Bridge at the end of season 3, are thrown into season 4 trying to figure out what they mean to each other and what their lives now stand for.

"And while Carolyn has shot a man in cold blood, she is trying to find out who is responsible for the hit on her son. This one is going to be a lot more personal and passionate than the seasons before."

We can't wait!
