Strictly's Kelvin Fletcher expecting third child with wife Liz

Congratulations are in order for former Emmerdale star and Strictly Come Dancing 2019 winner Kelvin Fletcher and his wife Liz, who have announced that they are expecting their third child.

In a statement to the Press Association, the pair said: "There's no question that for the Fletcher family the best thing to come out of 2021 is the news that we are expecting again.

"We are feeling extremely grateful and can't wait to meet the new addition to our family."

The pair welcomed son Milo three years ago, and daughter Marnie five years ago.

A few months ago, Kelvin talked about the frustrations of trying to find new acting jobs after leaving Emmerdale in 2016.

"A friend of mine, an actress, just messaged me and said, 'I can't even get a f**king self-tape,'" he said.

"So I know how frustrating those little selfies are, because I've been that person thinking, 'Even they are working now.' Let me tell you, I've had about 10 nos in these last few months. So, keep the faith.

"Patience is key, as I always say. It's only a little gig, so don't be getting too bothered. For all those out there who, like me, are sick of hearing the nos, I'm sure I'm going to get a lot more nos after this one. But I'm enjoying this while it is."

Following two decades of playing Andy Sugden, Kelvin appeared in Death in Paradise and Jimmy McGovern's Moving On, and has an upcoming drama with Sheridan Smith in the pipeline.

As well as his acting and Strictly, Kelvin is famously noted for competing in motorsport.

Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One. The Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special will air on BBC One on Christmas Day at 7.10pm.
