Call the Midwife has shared a first look at this year's Christmas Day special, with the BBC One series teasing the return of Mother Mildred, a dramatic delivery for Sister Frances, and an exciting new chapter for Timothy Turner.
We're feeling all warm and fuzzy already.
Call the Midwife shared the latest festive teaser on its official Twitter account, featuring commentary from the show's stars Cliff Parisi, Jenny Agutter, Ella Bruccoleri, Fenella Woolgar, Max McMillan and Stephen McGann.
Jenny Agutter, who plays Sister Julienne, promised fans that there'll be even more babies than usual. "It's a very, very busy time," she teased.
Alongside a sneak peek of Miriam Margolyes' return as Mother Mildred, she added: "And of course we [have] Miriam Margolyes arriving out of the blue on a milk float, of all things."
Ella Bruccoleri, who plays Sister Frances, also revealed that her character will oversee her first-ever breech delivery this Christmas.
"Sister Frances has her first-ever breech delivery – and she was born breech – so she's kind of, like, been building up to the first time doing it," Ella explained.
"And she has to do it with very little help, so it's kind of a big deal."
Timothy Turner is in for a dramatic Christmas as well, with the aspiring doctor joining his father on "his first proper call, which also just happens to be a call from a bunch of real-life gangsters".
Max McMillan explained: "For this year's Christmas special, it's been quite exciting for my character, because he's taken one of his first steps...into the real medical world.
"That was really fun to sort of get to experience the more intense side of the show," the actor added, upping our excitement even more. Bring on the babies!
Call the Midwife airs on BBC One and will return for a Christmas special on December 25 at 8pm.
