Strictly Come Dancing semi-final song and dance choices revealed

Strictly Come Dancing has announced the list of songs and dance routines for the semi-final episode.

Just four couples remain in this year's competition, and they will be performing two routines on the night as they hope to do enough to make it to next week's final.

AJ Odudu and Kai Widdrington will be performing the rumba to Maria McKee's 'Show Me Heaven', as well as the quickstep to Benny Goodman's 'Sing, Sing, Sing'.

Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice have been confirmed to be doing the Argentine tango to Eduardo Rovira's 'A Evaristo Carriego' and the waltz to Ellie Goulding's 'How Long Will I Love You'.

John Whaite and Johannes Radebe will be doing the jive to Coldplay's 'Higher Power'. They're also doing a Couple's Choice routine to Adele's 'Hometown Glory'.

Lastly, Rhys Stephenson and Nancy Xu are performing the samba to Michael Bublé's 'It Had Better Be Tonight (Meglio Stasera)' and the tango to Queen's 'One Vision'.

Dan Walker and his professional partner Nadiya Bychkova were the latest couple to leave the competition after losing the dance-off to AJ and Kai. Following his elimination, the presenter described his time on the show as "an absolutely incredible experience".

He later said on It Takes Two that he believes the right four couples are in the semi-final.

"As I said in the dance-off, I would have put AJ and Kai through as well," Dan added. "It's an entertainment show but it's also a dancing competition, and they were the best by a mile."

Strictly Come Dancing 2021 continues on Saturday, December 11 at 7.05pm on BBC One, with the results show airing on Sunday, December 12 at 7.20pm. Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights at 6.30pm on BBC Two.
