Strictly's Craig Revel Horwood tests positive for COVID-19

Strictly Come Dancing's Craig Revel Horwood is set to miss Musicals Week after testing positive for COVID-19.

The BBC show confirmed the news in a statement released on Monday (November 15), saying that the judge will miss this weekend's show as he is currently self-isolating.

"Craig Revel Horwood has tested positive for Covid-19 and is now self-isolating following the latest government guidelines.

"While Craig will not be taking part in Strictly Come Dancing this weekend, all being well he will return the following week," a spokesperson said.

Rylan Clark-Neal also confirmed the news on tonight's Strictly: It Takes Two, adding: "Craig, we're sending you all of our love and we can't wait to see you really soon."

While Craig will no longer be a part of the judging line-up, this Saturday (November 20) will see the return of Musicals Week as Strictly pays tribute to some of our favourite Musical moments.

Unfortunately, one couple just missed out on the Musicals spectacular, as Sara Davies and Aljaž Škorjanec became the latest couple to be eliminated in last weekend's show, after going up against Tilly Ramsay and Nikita Kuzmin in the dreaded dance-off.

"I had no idea any of this was in me. It's been a life-changing experience and one I've loved every second of," Sara said following her elimination.

"[Aljaž] is one in a million. I tell him every day and this wouldn't have been the experience it was if it wasn't for him."

Elsewhere last weekend, Rhys Stephenson and Nancy Xu earned a perfect 40 for their Charleston, while Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice moved the judges and the audience alike with their Couples' Choice routine, which paid tribute to the Deaf community.

Strictly Come Dancing 2021 airs on Saturday nights on BBC One, with results shows every Sunday. Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights at 6.30pm on BBC Two.
